Windows 2.0.12
Added
- Sound reactions play on Windows: send Air Horn, Fail Flute, or Sad Trombone from the new Sounds section of the call reaction menu, and hear the ones others send. Turn off Play sound reactions in Settings > Audio to mute them.
Changed
- Tuple no longer shows the Someone else is transcribing prompt when another participant captures the call.
- The
tupleCLI on Windows no longer accepts--host,--env,TUPLE_HOST, orTUPLE_ENV. It always connects to the Tuple app it was installed with.
Fixed
- When asking to join a call fails, Tuple now tells you why, such as when the call is full or your team has disabled calls with 4+ participants.
- Asking to join a call that is ringing you now answers it.
- Clicking Join again while Tuple is still joining that call no longer reports an error.
- The option to request someone's webcam no longer stays available after they turn their camera on.
Linux
Linux 2026.10.21.0
Added
- Guests can control your shared screen: remote control now works when you share from an X11 session, or from a Wayland compositor that supports the
wlrootsvirtual input protocols, such assway, labwc,Hyprland, andriver. See Tuple for Linux.
Changed
- Breaking change: The
tuplecommand is now the Tuple CLI, the same CLI that ships with the macOS and Windows clients. Many commands have changed - see the migration guide for more info. - The Tuple daemon now listens on a socket in
$XDG_RUNTIME_DIRinstead of an abstract socket. If$XDG_RUNTIME_DIRisn't set, tupleexits with an error.
Fixed
- Sharing your screen from compositors that only offer DMA-BUF screencast streams (such as
niri) no longer shows a blank screen. - Stopping a share from the desktop portal no longer shows a "Screen capture failed" popup.
- The CLI no longer reports "not signed in" for a moment while Tuple starts up and loads your sign-in.
macOS
macOS 3.3.11
Added
- You can turn off the reminders that you're alone in a call. See Notify me when I'm in calls alone in Settings > General.
- Tuple can adjust your microphone's volume when your speech is too quiet or too loud. See Automatically adjust my microphone volume in Settings > Audio.
Changed
- Redesigned Settings: the Settings window now matches the macOS system style, with a sidebar, native forms, and new Account and About panes. See Application preferences.
- When someone joins the call, Tuple shows a compact capsule with their avatar instead of a full notification card.
- People joining in quick succession now play a short tune based on the connected tone, instead of separate chimes. Joining a call that already has people in it plays one connected tone.
- Play ringtones in Settings > Audio is now Play call sounds, and it also silences the sound for join requests.
- Push to Talk buttons on a game controller or other device show the device's name in Settings > Hotkeys.
- Signing out ends your current call and closes Settings.
- The screen share icon has changed so that it looks distinct from the webcam icon.
- Webcam speaking indicators moved to the bottom-right corner of each tile, so the mute and screen sharing icons no longer shift when someone talks.
- Tuple no longer shows the Call is being captured and Call content captured notifications. The participant list still shows who is capturing.
Fixed
- When asking to join a call fails, Tuple now tells you why, such as when the call is full or your team has disabled calls with 4+ participants.
- Adding someone who is already on the call (or is already being added) now succeeds instead of failing.
tuple call participants add --waitreturns right away when that person is already connected. When adding someone fails, Tuple now tells you why. - The webcam picker no longer says no camera was found when your cameras take a while to appear.
- The camera you choose in the webcam picker keeps running as the call begins. A camera that turns on without sending video is restarted instead of loading forever.
- The option to request someone's webcam no longer stays available after they turn their camera on.
- The call stats window's close button works again, and you can drag the window from anywhere in it.
- Fixed a hang that could occur when other apps launched or quit.
